Short bio:
Associate professor at Hassan II University of Casablanca. I hold a PhD in advertising and communication (2019), and MA in Moroccan American Studies (2011). I’m a researcher in media policies and digital culture (Public media, streaming platforms, cultural public sphere, digital humanities, media literacies). I attended Oxford Media Policy Institute (Oxford, 2015), CEU Summer University (Budapest, 2012), and Stockholm Internet Forum (2013). I discussed the Arab Barometer findings at AIMS annual conference (Tunis, 2015). My publications include book chapters and journal articles, especially “Media and freedom of expression in post-colonial Morocco” (2015) and ”Framing Moroccan judiciary on TV: A public asset under constraints” (2023). In 2021-2022, I held an Advanced Fellowship at Niras, Sweden.

Streaming Platforms
I work on streaming platforms, including both transnational and Arab entertainment platforms (Netflix, Shahid, Starzplay, etc). This combines my research on TV programs, especially TV dramas, and platform studies.
